DMCC – Dubai Multi Commodities Centre has been founded in 2002 as a Dubai free zone with the main objective to be a centre of commodities trading. The free zone has been elected eight times by the Financial Times fDi magazine as ‘Global Free Zone of the Year’.
DMCC operates the Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), and Dubai now ranks third behind Antwerp and Mumbai in the leading global diamond hubs in terms of trade. DMCC is also home to the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), the Dubai Pearl Exchange (DPE), the DMCC Coffee Centre, the DMCC Tea Centre, the DMCC Cacao Centre, and the DMCC Cacao Centre.
All Virtual Asset Service Providers (“VASPs”) are subject to external licensing and regulatory supervision by VARA.
In addition to the aforementioned specialized business activities, DMCC does also provide for thousands of other business activities allowable for DMCC free zone companies.
